These flowers were looking straight into the early morning sun, which intensified their yellow color even more (no saturation adjustment used here)!
I isolated these blossoms with my 400mm lens. I like how shooting with this long lens flattens perspectives, and provides very shallow DOF when shooting wide open. (The daffodils near our front door started blooming last week, and it reminded me that I had taken these photos of the same patch a few years ago, but had never processed any of the images!)
